Senior Application Support Analyst

REDspace is looking for a Senior Application Support Analyst to join our growing, cross-functional team. We build engaging and complex web applications for some of the biggest entertainment and enterprise clients in the world like Turner, Viacom, Sony, and IBM. 

To best serve our client, this role will build and maintain dashboards for video QoE and backend application performance. Reviewing all QoE, AD metrics and dashboards daily, this role will monitor and provide feedback to engineering for input into the problem management process. A subject matter expert, this role requires strong knowledge in video and ad stitched ad delivery and will be a critical part of the REDspace developer and feature team, joining daily scrums and understanding all product roadmaps. 

What we expect.

  • 10 + years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge in:
    • MongoDB, MySQL (+RDS), Redis (+ElastiCache)
    • Nagios, Sumologic/Splunk, Scripting (Bash and Python), AppDynamics/NewRelic, Databricks/Apache Spark, Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Stash/Git, CI/CD (Hudson/Jenkins and Bamboo), AWS (CLI & API), ITIL (ServiceNow)
    • Cloud (AWS: ECS, EC2, ELB/ALB, S3, Lambda, Codedeploy etc) - CDN (Akamai, StackPath, Level3) - Python 2/3.x - GNU/Linux  - Virtualization - Containers (Docker, K8s) - ITIL
  • Experience with troubleshooting live site outages, content delivery issues resolution, and back-end performance and stability investigation (Java- and PHP-based Applications)
  • Familiar with Jboss/Jetty/Tomcat and Apache/Nginx server configuration, Advertisement/Reporting configuration troubleshooting, and setup and configuration of Operations monitoring (NewRelic/Nagios/Databricks) 
  • Ability to conduct Akamai CDN issues troubleshooting, Scripts Creation for Custom Monitoring and Automation (Python 2.x/3.x and Bash)
  • Experience with Video delivery (Metrics Analysis, Dashboard, and Alerting creation, Debugging)
  • Work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment that requires meeting tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work both individually and collaboratively with a team of developers, designers, project managers, and clients.
  • Great attitude and sense of humour (even if it’s just making yourself laugh). You'll be hard-pressed to find egos around here.
  • Passion for learning new technologies and desire to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Taking pride and ownership of everything you're assigned, seeing all tasks through to completion.
